Delete your Athon account

This page applies to Athon - Orthodox Bible, published by PRODUCT TECH S.R.L. You can delete your account directly in the Athon app.

Delete your account in the app

1. Open Athon and go to Settings.
2. Open the Account section.
3. Tap Delete Account.
4. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

When the deletion succeeds, Athon deletes the active account and signs it out on the device. This action cannot be undone.

If you cannot access the app

Email contact@athonapp.com from the address connected to your Athon account. Use the subject Delete my Athon account. We may ask you to verify account ownership before processing the request.

Data deleted with the account

Account deletion removes account-linked data from Athon's active systems, including:

• Profile information, account identifiers, uploaded avatar and profile photo.
• Synced Bible and prayer progress, bookmarks, highlights, notes and preferences.
• Custom prayers, journal entries, commemorations and prayer-group activity.
• Parish membership and account-linked community posts, requests and interactions.
• Push-notification identifiers linked to the account.

Data that may be retained

• Purchase and subscription transaction records may be kept by Google Play, RevenueCat, or Athon where required for refunds, fraud prevention, accounting, tax, security, or other legal obligations.
• Aggregated or de-identified analytics that can no longer be connected to the deleted account may remain.
• Residual encrypted backup copies may remain until the normal backup cycle overwrites them. They are not restored for ordinary product use.

Timing

The in-app flow removes active Athon account data when the deletion request succeeds. Requests sent by email are completed within 30 days after ownership is verified. Data that must be retained for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, or security reasons is kept only for the applicable statutory or operational retention period.
