Canon of Repentance (Excerpt)

Have mercy on me, O God, according to Your great mercy; according to the multitude of Your compassions blot out my transgressions.

Open to me the doors of repentance, O Giver of Life. My spirit rises early to pray toward Your holy temple, bearing the temple of my body all-defiled.

Lead me on the paths of salvation, O Mother of God, for I have profaned my soul with shameful sins. Intercede for me to Your Son, that He may grant me forgiveness. Amen.
