About the parish

The Orthodox Church is evangelical, but it is not Protestant. It is orthodox, but not Jewish. It is catholic, but not Roman. It isn't non-denominational - it is pre-denominational. It has believed, taught, preserved, defended and died for the Faith of the Apostles since the Day of Pentecost 2000+ years ago. We are a parish of the Eastern Orthodox Christian Faith which was established on the day of Holy Pentecost in the Year 33 AD. Our parish is a member of the American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese of the U.S.A., presiding bishop is His Eminence Metropolitan Bishop Gregory of Nyssa. The American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese is an autonomous diocese under the spiritual protection of His All-Holiness, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople.

Visiting for the first time?

Arrive a few minutes early. Sunday services often last up to two hours.
Dress modestly and follow what others around you do.
You are welcome to stand and pray, or simply watch. No one expects you to know everything.
Holy Communion is received by Orthodox Christians who have prepared for it. After the service, introduce yourself to the priest and ask anything you wish.
